We, the World, are One with many Expressions
Grace:
Inner
Light Returned to, Outwardly Expressed
Foundation:
The Groundwork, The Pure Original Beginnings That Support Rather than
Crumble the Inner Light.
The World
Grace Foundation is a USA incorporated church supporting the individuals
Inner Church: his or her own intelligent connection to a
positive guiding and world-unifying higher intelligence. Once found,
each individual can self-guide for the good of self and all, and express
from this state of inner grace in many forms. We celebrate the worlds
many methods for reaching this state, from the quest of quantum physics
to the foundation of Christianity to original Eastern philosophy to
native spiritualities. In all higher and spiritual expressions, we seek
first that original heart-driven foundation that was expressed from,
or led people to, their inner church before religions and sciences became
polarized control methods that worked from the outside in, effectively
drowning the inner Grace in each individual they started out to support.

Earth
Temple Nature Meditations: We help organize and participate in
sacred meditations in natural places around the world, focusing often
on Fidalgo Island in the USA Pacific Northwest. Please contact if
you would like to join us. This island is thriving with some of the
largest and last populations of rare fauna and flora on earth, blessed
by local citizens who preserve and protect the natural forests, ringed
by majestic mountains, more islands, the sparkling Salish Sea, and
a slightly more distant last remaining temperate rainforest. It is
also struggling with developers and toxins, and the more we can keep
its sacredness alive, the more we may serve both it and ourselves.
We've chosen it as our focus towards our goal that we share with the
Quakers: an earth restored. We aim for a reawakening of the sacredness
that the earth is not separate from anything, but is a temple within
the larger temple of heaven. We acknowledge the seeming harshness
of nature at times, also, and suggest that it, like all entities,
may want to evolve into a New Earth. Usually, our meditations end
up categorized within the following: Forest Sanctuary (forest and
woodlands), Spirit of the Sea (beach, sea, dolphins and whales), Enchanted
Meadows (swans, snow geese, wildflower and open sunny areas), Mountain
Cathedral (most often island and Cascade range mountains), Flower
Gardens (where humans and nature co-create), and horse experiences.
-
Gathering
Sessions: We gather on Sundays and other days throughout the week
for readings and discussions from a variety of sources, including
St. Theresa's Internal Castle, Norman Paulsen (author, Christ Consciousness),
Eckhart Tolle, Henry Lincoln, HeartMath concepts, Gangaji, and Celtic
and pre-European studies. We also hold simple practices of silent
candlelit meditation, meditations with African incense and recorded
African drumming, gentle healing music meditations, and purely silent
Quaker-type meditation sessions described by the Quaker community
as unprogrammed worship groups (gathering for silent meditation in
cooperative unity, no leader, teacher or minister's presentation).
-
Resources
for reaching Inner Union: We encourage all who feel drawn to find
their own inner direct connection to the collective higher conscious.
We offer group support for this, but also encourage individuals to
practice on their own, and not depend on an outside source or allow
others to replace their direct individual unity. At our gatherings
and through our weblog and web pages, we review and suggest resources
for one's own private practice that matches their own individual starting
point.
-
Nature
Stewardship: We treat Gaia as a living entity made from the same
source as humankind, and within the family of greater heavenly bodies.
We steward our local bio-region of the Pacific Northwest in a variety
of ways, and we've chosen one of the greatest areas of need, the poor
of South Africa, as well as France, a place that's held many mysteries
into the earth and its place in the higher universe, to tithe towards
in this stewardship mission. Our website is the best window to see
these activities in detail, how you can participate, and how they
overlap with our international outreach and African orphan project.

Healing
with Horses: Next to dolphins and whales, horses are one of the
most healing and telepathic relationships humans have with other mammals.
Dolphins tend to lead us, showing us how to surrender. Horses tend
to ask us to lead them; it's their nature in the wild to have a caring,
trustworthy leader. And by this, we remember our own worthiness and
that we can be trusted. We work with and learn from healing horse
farms across the country, and they repeatedly tell us that in spite
of other exotic land animals they have on the farm, horses, especially
with children, are the greatest draw. While many wonderful farms and
ranches offer highly controlled settings for the physically and mentally
disabled, our approach is more free and casual for the less challenged
(but no less starving for animals and nature!). We have two rescued
miniature horses donated for our use for a variety of horse experiences.
See children's ministry below, and our American website, for more
detail, knowing that this service also applies to grown-ups.
-
Spiritual
Journaling: Besides our Nature Temple journaling, we organize
and facilitate indoor candlelight journaling sessions, including writing
letters to the heart. Please let us know if you'd like to participate.
We lead writers from their active left brain hemisphere across the
corpus callosum to their right brain hemisphere, which is said to
have a stronger connection to the heart intelligence, which is in
turn said to be a direct connection to higher realms of guidance.
No belief systems are preached in these sessions, and hobby journalers
as well as professional writers of many beliefs have enjoyed these
sessions as methods to increase their talent, creative spark, professional
writers' voice and insights.

Artistry/Creativity:
-
Art
was once not separate from one's spirit; it was a direct expression
of it. Times changed. Much authentic and direct-from-spirit
creativity was lost as connection to our own spirit was lost.
Art became an expression of social conditioning and of unbalanced
patriarchal values, as in wearing clothing designed by others
to match the latest cool teen idol, or using teenage girls posed
in positions conditioned to be provocative in commercial and
fine art to sell products to a society now separated but starving
for deeper meaningful union with the other gender. A study of
a recent artistic photography magazine revealed 9 instances
of naked white young women with inhuman polished ivory hairless
skin used as objects in the photographs, and one of an unclothed
baby, with zero unclothed men, children, older people or other
natural ethnic peoples. This imbalance, (vs. natural human nudity
per se) is a wonderful mirror into our current society's weaknesses.
A study from the art museum in the Netherlands revealed a large
addiction to depicting naked attractive women in fine art vs.
the Greek and Roman period where idealistic and realistic nudity
was depicted usually in equal numbers, and vs. the matriarch
period, where the pregnant female body was honored in art with
much less apparent appreciation for the male contribution to
life. We believe that many of the arts still, however, have
always been a vehicle for higher understanding, even if hidden
in the background, because there are universal truths that a
small but still part of our hearts and minds still recognize
regardless of outer conditioning. The Phantom of the Opera,
for example, depicts a young woman cut off from her inner masculine
connection. She is timid and attached to an external and unhealthy
male relationship as a false source of masculine energy and
strength. A new sincere young man comes into her life with potential
for a healthy male/female union. But he, too, is not yet in
tune with his inner feminine, and he does not yet take seriously
or recognize what she's trying to tell him. Only until she unites
with her inner masculine, giving her femininity the power to
deal with the Phantom, and only when the young man goes the
distance it takes to find respect and at last understand the
inner feminine, does she make the break from her unhealthy past
and go towards sacred union with her new partner. We periodically
hold art discussions, readings and sacred cinema gatherings
to inspire a new, respectful and more mature renaissance in
the spirited arts arena.
-
We
see a new renaissance in art in the making that will be even
more inspirational than the previous patriarchal renaissance.
But even more, when participating in art vs. just viewing others'
art, we more strongly access our brain's right hemisphere. This
hemisphere is said to directly lead to the deep chamber of heart
intelligence being studied by the HeartMath Institute and others
who suggest this heart chamber is a more direct link to the
Creative Force of the Greater Good. Times are changing again.
Mandalas and art therapy have entered the realm of spirit and
healing. Art workshops based on right brain intelligence have
created profound progress in arts talent. We hold various art
workshops as ways to access that creative force, a higher talent,
and deeper connection. Any belief system may participate in
our creativity and art workshops, and many use our workshops
simply for increase in their artistic talent. These include
or will include the artistry of writing (see above), painting,
drawing, cooking, music, dance and sacred architecture.

Sacred
Healing: Healings are offered by appointment (see our tenets on
this healing modality below). We like to discuss your desires ahead
of time either in person or via e-mail. Approximately one-hour sessions.
Wear comfortable clothing; sessions take place fully clothed in a
healing room on massage table, and consist of the integration of certified
and/or highly trained hands-on energy healing including Reiki, Quantum-Touch,
Therapeutic Touch and relaxation response therapy. HeartMath, aromatherapy
and healing music are often integrated into the sessions. You may
choose to add your own healing prayers, invocations or visualizations.
Healings aim to take you to a deep, reassuring place within yourself
where your own body's healing mechanisms can be released, as well
as offer techniques you can take home with you. Cost is donation of
your choice. Tax deductible receipt available based on current healing
session prices in our location (any donation amount beyond the current
average rate of healing sessions can be tax deductible). Average healing
sessions are currently between $35 and $65. When time and situation
allow, we offer a one-time healing session to those currently unable
to afford a meaningful donation. We treat energy and hands-on healings
as many treat taking herbs or asking others to pray for them. The
healing happens from within the one who seeks the healing, and their
inner guidance has directed them as to which, if any, type of assistance
or environment the body desires to allow itself to heal.
-
Baptisms
of Light: Similar to a healing session with the added intention
of a new beginning. Offered to those we have come to know well through
church work, healing work, or other positive relationships. WG sees
all people as potential unmediated channels for the Creative Intelligence
needing no permission but their own to discover this part of themselves,
and sees no original sin that humankind comes to earth with and therefore,
nothing negative to be cleansed of, but rather, as Eckhart Tolle has
described it, some of us have "absorbed the collective pain body"
that masks our inborn joy and connection. When people embark on a
journey back out into the light, they often like to initiate it, mark
a closing and/or seal it with a tangible spiritual ceremony. Ritual
can be a way of speaking the language of the Whole, and is a form
of prayer for some people. The baptism of light allows two or more
to gather in recognition that you have embarked on this journey. This
session includes a foot anointing with oils of spikenard and essential
rose or frankincense and myrrh, a certificate of baptism of light,
and your own written declaration of your intent. Cost is a donation
of your choice. You may choose to have your donation go towards missions
to African orphans, American children's missions, general minister
services, or any WG project.

New
Ritual, Festival and Celebration: We have hosted festivals, celebrations,
rituals and ceremonies as enjoyable, celebrative, and meaningful expressions
of an inner Grace that's already established, to add simplicity and
loveliness to an already beautiful and happening life that doesn't,
ironically, depend on older forms of specific external authoritarian
ritual to make something happen. We also embrace the emerging science
behind the power of prayer, holistic expression, energy vortexes,
and the elements of nature. The current writings of our Celtic friends
document why spells and magic work on a scientific level, and it is
very similar to why certain power centers of the earth are so moving,
and why prayer has been found to have a concrete, provable force beyond
placebo effect. We feel that a person's inner spirit may attract situations,
people, or events into their lives which might remind them of their
deeper voice within. If ritual turns out to be one's first gateway
or remembrance, we see this as one of many doorways for that particular
person that happened to show up, rather than something that must be
forever replicated for everyone for fear of losing inner unity. Group
festivals have included harvest celebrations, May Day festivals and
divine feminine gatherings. More private ceremonies, such as our baptism
of light, are always a choice coming from something already within
the individual who chooses the ceremony. In some cases, there are
those who choose it specifically to symbolize no longer needing any
outside authority. Just as yoga practice can help one get quiet and
reach an inner state, the inner state was already there, and our ceremonial
and healing services are results of choices that come from that place
already within, rather than external replacements for inner unity.
-
Interbelief
Crossroads: We purposeful seek to network, partner and cross paths
with other belief systems for beneficial causes and celebration based
on healing, love and peace. Examples are our May Day festivals shared
with a huge cross section of belief systems, and our Water/Whale Meditation
day where spiritual and energy healers from around the Pacific Northwest
sent healing to our local waters in a variety of methods, from traditional
prayer, to calling forth native ancestors to telepathic whale communication.
-
Lost
Lamb Mission: While we tithe and serve more publicly known projects,
we also tithe to those unseen by the crowds, such as the recently
singled small town mother. As another example of our Lost Lamb services,
we chose to work in South Africa with the poorest of the poor, in
the worst possible conditions, condemned to the most terminal of diseases
(including AIDS), as a mission to help restore the lost as found and
valuable, as treasures once hidden to be remembered. These people
have much to offer the rest of the world, and that is the light that
guides us towards them, the light that we continually see. As they
begin to find this part of themselves again, miracles happen. An unprecedented
case occurred when 1000 rands were raised by the destitute in a garbage
dump shack town to contribute towards the non-profit group coming
in to help them.
-
Healing
Temple: We gather with energy and spiritual healers, those who
are experienced at what they do without trying to push a viewpoint,
control the crowd, or sell a specific healing modality, to take healing
to places in need: Church groups, social service groups, overworked
Red Cross volunteers during disasters, all are welcome to call for
a possible healing temple. Depending on the circumstances, it operates
both as a free service (especially during emergencies) on a donation
only basis, or as a set fee situation.
-
Ordinations:
We will act as one of the two necessary legally ordained ministers
needed for ordination for our affiliate SHES church for those who
are legally nominated and are sincerely seeking ordination, and we
will refer other ministers within our wide network, from New Thought
Christian to Nature-based, who also offer ministry training and the
legal ordination of ministers.
-
Sacred
Union Weddings
-
See
our Sacred Union Wedding &
Marriage Project. As long the situation allows, we do free
spiritual mentoring and personal coaching via e-mail on the
concept of sacred union within a healthy potential or current
healthy marriage, as well as ideas on sacred union wedding ritual
and ceremony. We do not practice pre-marital, troubled relationship,
nor secular licensed marriage or counseling, and therefore those
services need to be sought elsewhere, but we will refer ministers
within our circle of churches who specialize in spiritual help
for relationships, as well as excellent self-help relationship
resources such as Undefended Love workshops and HeartMath for
couples. When the situation and volume allows, we perform sacred
union marriages for those who have done the inner work we prescribe,
and as per the legal restrictions and within normal fee limits
within the State of Washington, and we will also refer other
ministers within our spiritual affiliations who offer the performance
of marriages to see if their methods or locations are better
suited to your needs.
-
We
help plan and officiate weddings that resonate with our specialty
of simple, small union ceremonies in nature or other smaller
inspired locations. Preliminary recommendations include participation
by both parties in an Undefended Love Workshop, and a HeartMath
workshop, and include our mentoring for a "Sacred Union
in Heaven ceremony" before the public official ceremony.
We will also recommend ministers within our spiritual affiliations
who are willing to do other types of ceremonies,
including those requiring crowd management and larger facility
control.
-
Sacred
Union Wedding & Marriage Project: For this project, we explore
and offer insights on an emerging new union between male and female.
It includes chosen faithfulness as a source of higher love and heightened
sexuality rather than a form of repression or restraint, sacred masculine
and sacred feminine discovery, new ceremonies and rituals including
those that raise the bodies' frequencies closer to that of Heaven's
to unite the couple in that state, preliminary relationship work of
finding the inner marriage of male and female within oneself. In this
relationship, sex is a joyful result of a union achieved on higher
levels than the physical first, rather than a means to get there.
Therefore, sexual union then heightens and integrates into itself
many more aspects of each individual's being: self-mastery, self-worth,
sense of being recognized by the other gender as valued, excitement
of going in partnership someplace that's new to humankind, and so
on. For many years, there have been two polarities on sex conflicting
with each other: Sex is sin, or sex is meaningless short-lived irresponsible
recreation. Between the two is a older marriage paradigm, a luke-warm
forced faithfulness based on guilt or fear, that sometimes leads participants
closer to the sex as sin end of the pole, and sometimes one partner
creeps closer to sex as meaningless, shorlived, irresponsible recreation.
We see these two polarities as operating on the same level of intelligence.
Floating above these two polarities is a Great Invitation that puts
sexual union back into its place of origin in a new form of union
between male and female. Our American weblog lists periodical insights
and reviewed resources and shares others' contributions in this manner.
-
Orphans of Africa: We work to help African orphans rekindle
their unique inner Grace, and then help them build an external 21st
Century heaven congruent to the rebirth and potential to the world
of their beautiful Mother Africa. Our website best describes this
international outreach program.
-
American
Adoption & Foster Children: America has an estimated half
a million children in foster care, 35,000 children waiting for adoption,
and numerous adoptive families. When volume allows, we spiritually
mentor free of charge or for any donation of one's choice*, with adoptive
parents looking for ways to create family bonds with adopted children,
including those who came out of the foster care program. We have two
decades of experience and professional training with this.
-
Children's
group meditation and ritual: We collectively have three decades
of experience in leading children's meditation groups and nature ceremonies.
As volume allows, we minister to others looking to create or lead
such programs for free or for any donation of their choice.*
-
Creating
the Village project: Parents have been blessed with many books
and ideas on how to add spirit without dogma to their kids' lives,
and how to enjoy time at home with kids without TV and other mechanisms
controlled by the human altered ego. But the constant planning for
these things with little outside village support sometimes leaves
parents with little time to relax into a village themselves, one that
handles it for a while. Where is the spirit-filled village that holds
and rejuvenates the entire family and allows restorative alpha states,
non-planning states for the parents also? Where are the social members
who re-enforce life affirming values along with parents, so they can
be strengthened by society instead of drained from always having to
fight its negative influences? If we look closely, though, there is
a village rising that supports group activities for children that
can become that village, and the more we focus and give them light,
the more the village can grow. One of the ministers of WG is on a
journey to find, review and make known to others group activities
that have those special qualities that seem to plug children and teens
back into their inner wisdom and sense of unity with all. Although
they may be fun, they are not superficial and short-lived with TV
tie-ins. Although they may be exhilaratingly challenging, they are
not merely a form of addictive adrenalin stimulation. From self-governed
children's nature-play areas to new schools to teen rites of passage,
these are reported for you on our World Grace American Weblog under
the "Creating the Village" category.
-
New
Schools: New forms of education are underway allowing spirit,
metaphysics, heart consciousness, quantum sciences, and intuition
connected to a Greater Good without imposing dogma or religion. In
some cases, they even continue to allow the separation of church and
state. Some describe themselves as "cultural creative education,"
"whole brain learning, heart-centered learning," "authentic
new village learning," and some include study of the phenomenon
of children born with indigo or opalescent ethereal life colors. We
have vast experience collectively adding up to three decades on all
of these areas, from mainstream education to our own childhood readings
by Nancy Anne Tappe to new forms of learning and new forms of child
raising. We have experience with and have consulted with new schools
being formed from Japan to USA to Europe to South Africa. For free
or for a donation of your choice if consultation becomes very involved.*
-
Healing
with Horses: We have access to two miniature horses that have
experience being "loved" by groups of children and adults.
We have and will continue to conduct this ministry for free, or for
donation* that goes to their owners' for horse upkeep, or for this
or other WG children's projects, depending on our current situation.
*We
follow a balancing flow of incoming and outgoing prosperity. We
begin by giving freely. When it's then time to receive, replenish
and fund our ministries, we focus on services for donation to
those who can afford to contribute. When we have received to the
point of supporting our ministries, more services are offered
for free to those who temporarily cannot afford to donate. There
are always, however, at least some services offered for no charge.
International
Outreach & American Interpretation of Grace
After first knowing our own home well, we reach out by deepening the
understanding and strengthening the tapestry of interwoven unified oneness
through services and goodwill exchanges with other cultures and countries.
Our two focuses are currently South Africa, a place with huge need and
huge potential, and France, a place that holds secrets of the sacred
feminine and sacred masculine. Our website is the current best window
into our international outreach, as well as how we interpret Grace on
our chosen American location, complete with ongoing weblog progress
reports. Our international outreach's mission statement is: Exploring
how and where the world is becoming a better place based on universal
principles of love and peace. Contributing to making them happen through
education, action, and partnerships with organizations of a common vision.
Tenets,
Policies & Places of Gathering
We are
here to contribute nourishment to the individual and community human
soul, and explore mysteries of the collective universal soul, with
the intention of evolving as time progresses. We operate independently
while networking as partners in a worldwide movement towards the next
human paradigm.
We feel
that individual humans have their own capacity for direct access to
a higher organizing soul and can eventually access and live from that
realm where the Inner Teacher guides the individual to do no harm,
neither to him or herself, nor to the greater good, without hierarchy
or external controlling dogma.
We do
not discount, however, that society can make this connection difficult
to find and maintain. "Enlightenment" can be imitated by
the altered ego, and the collective altered ego can be very forceful.
We offer a number of tools among many offered by others to strengthen
the inner realm of peace, artistry and love, our own personal Grace
that connects us to the loving collective soul of the earth and heavens,
the organizing intelligence of the universe.
From
the point of Grace, we find ways to express it outwardly according
to the individual's choice into a beautiful new earth, with continued
exploration of the mysteries of the universe and the part we play
in it, from deeper understandings of the many ancient wisdom traditions
that help us access our direct connection to Higher Intelligence,
to discovering brand new frontiers where spirit and science, soul
and physical, begin to merge.
We see
spirituality as an ongoing quest for deeper understanding. While some
universal truths remain eternal, the methods and roads that lead to
them may change, and the ability to comprehend even higher eternal
truths will expand.
We see
spirituality is an ongoing study that evolves within human consciousness
and is not necessarily in conflict with science, in fact, that they
can be one in the same using different languages. As in spirituality
and science, one step illuminates the next.
Many
traditions from both the ancient matriarch and the more recent patriarch,
including: Native American, Native African, Muslim, Christian, Atheism,
Paganism, Eastern Philosophy and the others, have shown alignment
with higher principles, support of the individual and contribution
to the Greater Good, and can also claim an associated dark side of
sacrifice of other living things, live burnings of innocent people,
public torture, degradation of women as sex objects or second class
beneath men, discounting or scorning the sacred masculine, and terrorism
or unprovoked invasion of others. Awareness of this can be useful
as a reminder of the golden rule of not finger-pointing before knowing
the others' original truth, and a leverage point to then humbly move
towards the light summit we are all headed for, refusing and releasing
darkness we now see we do not need, and freely choosing whichever
starting point resonates with us.
Some
choose to start with Christianity, others their Celtic, African, Hebrew,
Siberian Shamanic, Taoist, Hawaiian or Native American heritage. Some
choose atheism or agnosticism. We see no value in pushing our starting
point onto another, and quietly invite those so moved to join any
of our work that's open to them, while those on other roads continue
there, with the faith that we're all headed for the same center, slowly
becoming closer and closer together, integrating like a symphony,
yet not homogenizing, but remaining true to our uniqueness, which
creates a diversified social symphony rather than a monotone.
We are
not concerned with which philosophy, world-view or religion a person
follows, but how much inner joy that person receives from it and what
kind of person their philosophy, world-view or religion helps them
become. Those of any other world viewpoint are welcome to join many
of our activities if done sincerely (see discipline and personal responsibility,
below).
In that
sense, we feel the world can transform one graceful person at a time,
from within, yet we balance that by not necessarily being non-active
in the face of obvious external dark sides, regardless of which viewpoint
it claims to have sprung from. Our aim is for any actions we take
to come from a place of grace and inner peace first, which then guides
our action. This then merges the two worlds of inner heaven with its
natural outer expression coming as a result. When we "fight those
who attack us," it's more in a manner that would remove the need
for war and remove their need to attack. We are not pacifists in any
sense to letting dark behavior go unchecked, but instead gratefully
thanking it and using it to point out which better direction to aim
for.
Reiki,
Laying on of Hands, and other forms of energy healing can be, we believe,
the opposite of hierarchal priesthood or mediumship, where another
person outside ourselves must forever be the conduit between ourselves
as individuals, and the divine. We give and receive Reiki as a "re-membering"
tool, a friend pointing the way to find your own direct road. A hand-up
to personal reconnection, not a hand-out of someone else's interpretation
of connection. Some people see these healings as an agnostic form
of raising the speed and efficiency of the body's electrons. Others
see it as the Holy Spirit entering in them. All interpretations are
fine with us. Stories mount of healings, and life seeming to shift
to a more positive direction, and even just the ability to "hear"
some sort of inner guidance that says, "Turn right," when
otherwise we may have automatically turned left, and missed a great
opportunity. We see Reiki as just one of many gates to choose towards
a greater connection to the Higher Good.
We acknowledge
here that we see the laying on of hands as a higher, spiritual energy
form of healing completely different that that of our massage therapist
friends. A few misinformed people in power in the massage industry
(a modality we respect and enjoy receiving ourselves) are moving towards
forcing those who do laying on of hands to obtain massage therapy
licenses and education in order to legally offer laying on of hands,
when the laying on of hands is quite opposite of massage therapy,
and ministers and healers often cannot take the year or two out of
their lives nor spend the $10,000 or so on massage school to learn
a modality they have no intention of ever using, and which can actually
get in the way of the non-analytical, silent method of laying on of
hands. Those who come to us for this form of healing are invited to
let us know if the light touching of hands on their bodies is permissible,
if they have, perhaps, just certain areas that should not be touched,
and if they have any medical condition in which touching or reaching
the back of the head should be avoided. The energy emanating from
the palms can also be received by putting the palms near the body
rather than resting on it, and clients can roll over in a manner comfortable
to them for access to the spinal area rather than having the practitioner
reach under them while they lie on their backs. Some people have been
physically abused, and prefer to avoid touch only in certain areas
of the body. A professional health care practitioner of your choice
should be consulted first if you have any questions on receiving or
making special requests before receiving Reiki/Laying on of Hands.
Places
of worship: Our center of activity and headquarters are currently
4925 Sharpe Road, Anacortes - Fidalgo Island, WA 98221. The World
Grace Foundation owns no real estate and uses private or public locations
rented, bartered or donated for its use.
Discipline
and individual responsibility: Minister discipline is handled by
our first Mother Church. No one who participates has to already adhere
to our starting point or outlook. For example, we've had numerous conservative
Christians enjoy our May Day festivals without ever leaving their own
original outlooks. And those of many beliefs participate in our writing
and art activities. For those who join in our activities or take part
in our services, there is occasionally a release that must first be
signed. We gather for support, sharing and inquiry. Our organization
is not for those who would use it for obvious illegal or dark activities.
But nor is it for more subtle undesirable acts, those who enjoy arguing
in groups for the endorphins that perpetual arguing puts in their brains,
want to use our church to rebel against friends or family, want to "spy"
and then ridicule or gossip about the ministers, participants, and their
spiritual practices once away from the group, intimidate ministers or
others participating in our activities simply by "showing up"
because of fabricated or genuine interest when they have knowing secular
or other issues with ministers or regular participants not resolved
outside the church before joining in, to drop off unwilling minor or
adult children to be babysat or "fixed," nor to simply meet
possible singles or hide from responsibility. Minister and regular participant
complaints are listened to and taken into consideration and on occasion,
participants will be asked to vote on a decision. Meditation and discussion
among the director and co-director are used to determine more subtle
abuses and choose who will be invited to stay away.
The
founding body of the World Grace Foundation started as volunteer spiritual
and service work and various spiritual studies. In 2003, WG became a
certified congregation of the International Assembly of Spiritual Healers
and Earth Stewards (SHES), a 501c3 recognized religious corporation
in the State of Washington. The congregation did not yet operate formally
as a church or non-profit organization of its own, and we worked voluntarily
or as individual self-employed healers or mentors. We became organized
as our own church in 2005 when we registered as our own independent
nonprofit spiritual corporation in the state of Washington, and independently
received our own federal EIN number as a church. In 2006, we registered
with the North American Quaker organization to add Quaker worship services
to our program and to seek others wishing to join. We further attained
affiliated with The Center for Progressive Christianity (TCPC), our
new mother church with whom we share the following thoughts expressed
by TCPC:
Do
you find more grace in the search for meaning than in absolute certainty,
in the questions rather than in the answers?
The
claim that Jesus offers the only access to God for all people promotes
attitudes that lead to racial and ethnic divisions.
Schooling,
formal study and personal backgrounds: The founder/director and co-director
studied many spiritual outlooks in preparation for the creation of WG,
not necessarily adhering to them in totality, but exploring their beliefs,
origins, and how they may play in our continually evolving church:
-
Celtic
study:
-
Ancient
Celtic: Studied in London, and in France's Brittany and Normandy,
all ancient Celtic kingdoms. Celtic tradition is as diverse
as Native American and Christianity and has evolved as much
as science has over the thousands of years of its existence,
and yet some of its core information based on peace, love, and
understanding of the systems of the earth, cosmos and human
consciousness still hold true, and bind them with the heart-driven
or inspired core of all religions and greater sacred scientific
understandings.
-
Certified
in the school of study taught by Dr. Doreen Virtue in spiritual
therapy, laws pertaining to spiritual counseling, and working
with those seeking the angelic, ancestor and faerie realms.
We found this viewpoint interesting. Those of many viewpoints,
including Catholic ministers and new metaphysical seekers, joined
in this study. It was helpful in seeing where many others' current
starting points are. For us, it best serves as one of several
areas to explore.
-
Evolved
Sacred Celtic tradition. This area of study comes from varying
sources including our own inner meditations, initiations with
other ministers, and with new practices used for finding inner
light, higher realms, and serving humanity and nature. Literature
is held sacred within our church for genuine seekers.
-
Celtic
Festivals: We have organized, hosted and facilitated May Day,
Winter and Summer Solstice, and Autumn and Spring Equinox celebrations,
often with many people of many faiths participating, and will
continue to do so depending on current ministries and projects
going on at the time.
